Metro Holdings Limited announced that Metro Australia Holdings Pte Ltd (“Metro Australia”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, Wingstar Investments Pte. Ltd. (“Wingstar”) and Maxdin Pte. Ltd. (“Maxdin”), have been jointly awarded the tender for a 99-year leasehold land parcel located at Prince Charles Crescent, Singapore, having an approximate site area of 23,785.4 square metres at the price of S$516,298,888.00. Following the award of the tender, Metro Australia, Wingstar and Maxdin will enter into a joint venture to develop the Land as a residential development for sale. (Closing S$0.815, +1.24%)
Mirach Energy’s associate company, CPHL (Cambodia) Company Limited, has signed a Drilling Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Contract with International Environmental Management Company Limited and SAWAC Consultants For Development Company Limited. These two firms will jointly work on and issue the Environmental Impact Assessment report required for drilling to commence on its concession in offshore Cambodia, Block D. The Assessment will start in September 2012, and is expected to complete in approximately six months. (Closing S$0.06, +9.1%)
Keppel Land Limited announced that its
indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Kingsley Investment Pte Ltd had entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Hong Lim Investments Pte Ltd (“Hong Lim Investments”), Prime Growth Investments Ltd (“Prime Growth”) and Penfield Company Ltd (together with Hong Lim Investments and Prime Growth, to acquire an aggregate of 54,000 ordinary shares in the share capital of Kingsdale Development Pte Ltd representing 36% of the total issued share capital of Kingsdale for an aggregate consideration of US$38,556,000 and shareholders’ loans in the aggregate principal amount of US$22,644,000 for an aggregate consideration of US$22,718,385.36. Creative Technology: Media processor chip and software to be used in 3M projector. Creative Technology’s ZiiLABS has announced that its ZMS StemCell media processor and customised Android software is being used in the new MP220 mobile projector by 3M Mobile Interactive Solutions Division. SingTel: Shares fall to 3-month low on Temasek sale. Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) shares yesterday fell 5.1% to S$3.20, the lowest since Jun 12. This came as Temasek Holdings had priced the sale of 400m shares at S$3.20 per share, at the lower end of the S$3.20-3.25 indicative price range. (Source: The Business Times)
STATS ChipPAC: Divests stake in Micro Assembly Technologies. STATS ChipPAC is divesting its 25% stake in Micro Assembly Technologies to Wuxi China Resources Microelectronics for HK$80.83m (S$12.8m). The divestment is the result of the company’s efforts to rationalise its non-core assets. The group is expected to receive a gain on disposal of US$2m. (Source: The Business Times)
Wing Tai/ CDL: Wing Tai’s record bid for condo site will benefit CDL. Wing Tai’s winning bid of S$960psf ppr for the 99-year leasehold site at Prince Charles Crescent is one of the highest prices achieved for a 99-year leasehold site and may benefit an adjacent 43-storey City Developments (CDL) project at Alexandra Road which is slated to launch in the next quarter. CDL had paid S$754psf ppr for the site nine months ago.
