Sin Heng Heavy Machinery has more than doubled its net profit year-on-year for 3Q14, driven partly by higher revenue. The group recorded net profit of $6.3m. Revenue for the quarter rose 33.3% to $53.7m. But gross profit rose just 10.2% to $7.9m. Revenue for the nine months was higher at $154.1m, against $124.6m previously. The group's trading business accounted for the increase, with revenue from that sector rising 40.7% to $119.2m.
