Revenue for the quarter dipped 3% to RM 126.7 million on lower contributions from project related licensing and services, as well as lower sales of hardware products.
1Q earnings more than doubled to RM168.6 million ($11.5 million) from a year ago on the back of disposal gains.
Other Income for 1QFY17 surged due to RM145.8 million from RM14.1 million on the back of disposal gains of RM143.7 million from 4.5 million shares in Global InfoTech after the expiry of the moratorium period. This was partially offset by lower unrealised forex gains in 1QFY17 due to lower fluctuations of SGD against the US Dollar.
Silverlake Axis has proposed a dividend of 0.5 cent per share, payable on Dec 5.

Revenue fell 29% to RM126.7 million in 2Q17, compared to RM179.0 million a year ago.
The decline in revenue due to lower contribution from software licensing, software project services as well as sale of software and hardware products, mainly attributed to the delivery of fewer contracts and reduced capital expenditure by customers.
Earnings of RM264.3 million ($78.7 million) in 2Q, from RM66.6 million a year ago.
This was mainly due to a capital gain of RM223.9 million following the disposal of 18 million shares in an associate, Global InfoTech Co. (GIT).
